Indication
POLYSITE implantable ports allow repeated and prolonged access to the venous system
POLYSITE implantable ports are used to administer chemotherapy, antibiotics and antiviral drugs. They can also be used for
parenteral nutrition, collection of blood samples and transfusion of blood or blood products. All POLYSITE references can be used
for pressure injection of contrast media during CT procedures (compatible with high pressure injectors, cf IFU Chap. USE AND
MAINTENANCE part. INJECTION OF CONTRAST MEDIA DURING CT SCAN PROCEDURES).

Light and safe
Polysite® consists of a titanium reservoir and a polyoxymethylene (POM) outer casing, making Polysite® a lightweight implantable chamber. All Polysite® components are radiopaque.
Moreover, Polysite® has smooth angles and his profile-shaped design requiring only a small surgical pocket.
Pressure injectable
Polysite® is compatible with pressure injection of contrast media during CT scan or MRI procedures up to flowrate 5 ml/s and maximum pressure 325 psi.
Adaptability
Polysite® ports comes in a range of sizes to suit all patient morphologies, from paediatric to adult:
- 3 case sizes (micro, mini, standard). Ports pre-connected or to be connected.
- Different catheter diameters from 5Fr to 10Fr. as well as different lengths (60 to 80 cm). Catheters available in polyurethane or silicone.
The Polysite® range is also designed to suit the needs of every user, with different kits available: surgical, percutaneous and percutaneous with ultrasound-guided puncture.
The implantable ports Polysite® is a Class III sterile medical device. Certification established by GMED notified body no. 0459.
They allow repeated and prolonged access to the venous system.

Description
Paediatric (codes VPE2xx5ISP) or adult (codes VPE2xxxxISP) venous implantable port with Micro and peelable introducer (5Fr, 6Fr or 7Fr).Port with catheter to connect in silicone (codes VPE2005ISP and VPE2007ISP) or in polyurethane (codes VPE2015ISP and VPE2016ISP).
Each percuteneous placement kit Polysite ISP contains:
- One titanium and POM (polyoxymethylene) micro port with a silicone septum,
- One 60cm (for paediatric reference with 5Fr catheter) or 80cm XRO silicone or polyurethane catheter. Graduation every cm with a numbered marking every 5cm from 5 to 40cm,
- Two connection rings with a Phynox thread containing nickel,
- One straight Huber needle (22G),
- One vein pick,
- One flushing connector, pre-connected to the catheter,
- One 10ml syringe,
- One marked J guidewire - 0.018" - 40mm for paediatric references VPE2xx5ISP and 0.035" - 60mm for all other references codes VPE2xxxISP,
- One echogenic introducer needle - 20G - 38mm for paediatric references VPE2xx5ISP and 18G - 70mm for all other codes VPE2xxxISP,
- One tunneler diameter 2mm - length 18cm for paediatric references VPE2xx5ISP and diameter 2.5mm - length 23cm for all other references VPE2xxxISP,
- One peelable introducer - length 12cm for paediatric references VPE2xx5ISP and 17cm for all other codes VPE2xxxISP.
