Title: MostCareUp : fluid optimisation during surgery

Speaker: Dr Jose Miguel Alonso-Iñigo MD PhD

He has been working in the Department of Anesthesia, Surgical Critical Care and Pain Treatment University Hospital and Politécnico La Fe (Valencia) since 2012. Expert of non-invasive mechanical ventilation and haemodynamic monitoring systems, he has been often invited to international and national conferences to provide lectures. Co-author of the first validation study of MostCare (PRAM) in paediatric patients, he collaborated in several studies on MostCare including a multicentric validation study in 15 centers in Europe.

His main research interest focuses on fast-track protocols and GDT programs, in a multimodal approach to integrate haemodynamic variables in management of fluid optimisation. Director of the Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation Group (VMNI) and a member of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESIM) and European Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology.
