Lifecath Expert

Antimicrobial silicone catheter with silver ions for long-term venous access.
Radiopaque single and double-lumen silicone catheter with subcutaneous cuff for long-term access (parenteral nutrition, administration of medication, antibiotics, chemotherapy…) inserted by venous cut-down (catheter only) or percutaneous puncture (kit with peel-apart Desilet).
The active ingredient used in the Expert technology is the silver ion-based antimicrobial agent AgION^TM which is not just a surface coating but is incorporated into the silicone tubing of the catheter.
Lifecath Expert gradually releases silver ions from its internal and external surface, so the catheter offers both extraluminal and intraluminal protective action over an extended period of time.

-1 peel-apart sheath Desilet type 1146

N.B.: The priming volume and the flow rate are calculated for the complete catheter before the length is adjusted by the physician.
