Double catheter for blind bronchoalveolar lavage for diagnosis of ventilator-associated pneumonia. The distal end of the external (radiopaque) catheter is closed by a polyethylene glycol plug.
At the proximal end, there is a spacer between the external and internal catheters to avoid premature expulsion of the polyethylene glycol plug.
